자전거로 속초에서 껌사오기 도전기...

김모과장님의 회유에 넘어가 아무것도 모르고 자전거 타고 속초에서 껌 사고 왔슴다. (-_-);;;

일단 GPS 경로 부터 보면 ....

저 울퉁 불퉁 태백 산맥을 타고넘어~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 갔다 왔습니다. 일단 눈물 좀 닦고 ㅠㅠ ㅠㅠ ㅠㅠ ㅠㅠ ㅠㅠ

월드컵 응원하고 3시에 집에 들어와 한시간 자고 새벽 6시에 집을 나와서 용문역에서 출발 했습니다.

속초에서 껌사고 집에 오니 다음 날 새벽 2시 ;;;;;;;

그러면 시간 순으로 사진을 보시죠....

전철에 제일 끝 칸에 자전거를 싣고 출발!!!!!!!!!!

아침먹고 비오니 돌아가자고 꼬시고 있는 중 비가 그쳐 고고씽! 하기로 했습니다. (,,)

이번에 같이간 차장님과 주현씨....

이때까지만 해도 좋았습니다..................

이런 도로를 끊임 없이 달렸습니다. 조금 위험 하긴 합니다....

이런 언덕이 끊임없이 이어지니 미쳐 버리겠더군요....

초죽음이 되어 포기하고 싶어질때 쯤 휴게소에 들러 점심을 먹고 아이스크림 까지!!!! 그런데 이 휴게소... 좀 이상한것 많이 세워져 있습니다. 직접 확인해 보시길...

풍력 발전소가 보여 한컷!

미시령 바로 앞에서 완전시 낙다운 ~ 진짜 포기 할려고 했는데 정상까지 3.6km 라는 말에 힘을 냈습니다.....

위에 올라가니 완전 안개에 춥고 ;;; ㅎㄷㄷ 무서웠습니다....

제일 꼴찌로 머리와 팔 다리가 분리된체 정상에 올라오는 모습.....

인간 승리 ㅠㅠ 눈물 좀 닦고 ... ㅠㅠ

사진이 흔들렸지만 정상에서 막걸리+커피 한잔씩 하고 서로 위로 하고 20분을 쉼없이 내려 왔습니다 ;;;;

I dreamed I had an interview with GOD

"so you would like to interview me?" GOD asked.
"If you have the time," I said.

GOD smiled.

"My time is eternity... what questions do you have in mind for me?"

"What surprises you most about humankind?"

세명의 정신 탐험가의 이야기를 통해 무의식의 세계가 어떻게 발견되었고 연구 되어왔는가를 이야기 해 준다.

프란츠 안톤 메스머: 메스머 요법이라는 최초로 최면술을 발견하고 연구한 사람. 원래 자신의 의도와 다르게 최면술이 퍼져나가게 되고 괴로워 하지만 이미 통제하기에는 늦었음을 깨달음. 결국 자신이 찾아낸것이 무엇인지를 모르고 눈을 감는다.
메리 베이커 에디: 30대까지 심신 장애를 앓고 있다 우연한 기회에 메스머 요법을 들고온 사람을 통해 완치를 하게 되어 그것의 신봉자가 되고 결국엔 치료자가 되어 유명해 짐. 크리스찬 사이언스라는 단체를 만들었으나 종국에는 대부분의 부와 명예를 잃어 버린 불운의 여인...
지그문트 프로이드: 정신분석의 토대를 만든 위대한 학자. 실제 저자 츠바이크와 많은 친분을 쌓았고 책을 출간하기 전에 많은 서신 교환이 있었다고 함.

슈테판 츠바이크의 연민을 읽고 나서 구입하게 된 책이다.

그의 섬세한 묘사와 독자를 이끄는 글 전개에 끌려 슈테판 츠바이크의 책을 또 사보게 되었다. 이 책은 전기 형식의 내용으로 작가의 상상력이 위 세인물의 사실과 어울러져 묘사 되어지고 있다.

연민에서 느꼈던 놀라움을 얻지는 못했지만 조금 다른 전기를 읽은 느낌 이랄까...

정신분석에 관심이 있는 독자나 츠바이크의 놀라운 문장을 기대하는 사람에게는 추천하고 싶지 않지만 정신분석에 호기심이 있거나 츠바이크라는 사람의 책은 무조건 본다는 독자라면 읽어 봄직 하다.

Pianotouch
Demo Description: PianoTouch is a part of Mobile Music Touch, which is a system designed to passively teach people how to play musical instruments, while they're doing other tasks such as working at their desk or reading on a long commute. The system consists of two parts: 1) a lightweight, wireless, tactile glove with a vibration motor for each finger, and 2) a mobile device such as MP3 player or cell phone. As the music is played on the MP3 player, the synced tactile glove vibrates the corresponding fingers in charge of playing the notes. Thus, a user can hear the music and feel it playing on their hands. A user can use this system to automatically rehearse piano, trumpet, sax, etc songs while going about their daily routines.

Demo Description: Tow types of wearable tactile displays, electro- and vibro-tactile displays, that generate directional tactile patterns on the skin will be presented. Unlike stationary desktop environment, people are often engaged in several tasks while they are on-the-go. In most mobile multitasking situation, the demand on the visual attention is relatively high. Due to the limited resources for human attention, the users have to shift their visual attention from the device to the environment frequently. Wearable tactile display is designed to reduce the need of visual attention to the users of mobile and wearable computing.

Demo Description: The Deaf 911 system emulates an TTY (teletypewriter) on a cell phone providing deaf users with direct and easy access to emergency services. Deaf users can dial 911 from a cell phone and communicate with the 911 operator through an Instant Messaging style interface. The software TTY then encodes the text as TTY signals and sends it over the voice channel. Incoming TTY signals are decoded and displayed as text.

Rapid Prototyping
Demo Description: With the variety of hardware needs that our lab has, we often find ourselves making what we can't buy. To aid in this, we have several tools that we commonly use to prototype everything from plastic parts to circuit boards. For plastic parts, we have a 3D printer than can print ABS plastic from a 3D model, as well as a laser cutter/etcher for cutting plexiglass, wood, paper, and fabric. Next, we have a full complement of surface-mount soldering tools - essential for assembling some of our smaller circuit boards. These have enabled us to develop our own series of wireless acceleration sensors tailored to our needs, measuring just one inch square. These sensors have been used in several projects, including Child's Play. Finally, we have a sewing setup for working with conductive textiles. This enables us to develop the flexible, wearable electronics, such as the wristband used in the EMMA project.

Augmenting Aerial Earth Maps with Dynamic Information

조지아텍 박사 과정을 밟고 있는 기환이 형의 작품을 소개 합니다.

기환이 형은 컴퓨터 비젼과 그래픽 분야의 연구를 해오고 있고 스타를 사랑 합니다. :) 그러면 이번에는 어떤 재미있는 프로젝트를 했는지 보겠습니다.

구글 Map이나 Earth와 같은 어플이 광범위하게 쓰이고 있는 지금 정적인 정보를 제공하는데 그치지 않고 동적인 정보를 실시간 또는 비실시간으로 제공하는 시도라고 보여 집니다.

카메라의 광범위한 사용과 인프라의 발달 또한 위치 정보 획득의 용이성이 이런 상상을 가능하게 만들지 않나 싶습니다. 단순히 길을 찾는 지도에서 벗어나 TV를 대체한다던지 실시간 정보*교통, 이벤트, 날씨 등)를 눈으로 확인할 수 있는 서비스까지 그 쓰임새가 실로 다양하지 않을까 생각해 봅니다.

논문에 나와 있는 세가지 포인트를 보면 ...

(1) Analyzing videos with different viewpoints, coverage, and overlaps to extract relevant information about view geometry and movements, with limited user input.

(2) Projecting this information appropriately to the viewpoint of the AEMs and modeling the dynamics in the scene from observations to allow inference (in case of missing data) and synthesis. We demonstrate this over a variety of camera setups and conditions.

(3) The modeled information from videos is registered to the AEMs to render appropriate movements and related dynamics. We demonstrate this with traffic flow and cloud motions

*AEM (Aerial Earth Map)

3차원 공간인 AEM에서 2차원의 비디오 정보를 analysis, coverage, overlaping을 통해 다양한 정보를 추출 다양한 정보와 시각을 제공해주는 것입니다.

응용 분야는 무궁 무진할것으로 생각 됩니다. 스포츠 중계부터 교통상황 날씨 정보 제공, 예측까지 많은 서비스를 할 수 있겠네요.

그러면 셈플 비디오를 보시겠습니다.

비디오에 본것 같이 같이 2차원적인 비디오 화면의 정보를 가지고 정보를 추출하여 모델링을 통해 가상의 Object를 생성하여 3차원적인 구성을 할 수 있습니다.

여러대의 카메라를 쓰지 않고 다양한 view에서의 화면을 보여 줄 수 있을 뿐만아니라 안보이는 부분까지 예측이 가능한 시스템을 만들 수 있습니다.

비록 몇몇 제약 사항이 있지만 앞으로 재미있는 일들을 해볼 수 있는 시도라고 생각 됩니다.

또 다른 시작...

또 바꾼다.

내 홈페이지를 갖자고 마음 먹고 며칠을 뚜딱거려 첫 홈페이지를 가졌을때의 감동이 잘 기억이 나지 않는 이때...

또 만들었다.

벌써 몇번째 인지 모르겠다. 처음 열정은 다 어디가고 홈페이지가 좋지 않아 사용을 안한다고 생각한다. 불편하다고 생각한다.

별로 보여 주고 싶지 않았다.

특별히 글을 잘 쓰는것도 아니고 유용한 정보를 꾸준히 올리는것도 아니다. 뒤돌아 옛 글들을 보면 별로 쓸모 없어 보이는 글들로 넘쳐 있는것 같기도 하다.

그래도 바꾼다.

새로운 도구가 나와서 그것을 쓰게 되면 달라 질거라는 막연한 기대감. 이제 슬슬 뭔가를 써야 되지 않겠나 하는 무의식 중의 항의(?)....

그래서 바꿨다.

지금까지 내가 만든 홈페이지 중에 가장 깔끔한 스킨으로 바꾸었다. 도구도 블로깅 만을 위해 만들어진 아주 특별한 방식으로 관리가 되어지는것 같다.

앞으로 무엇을 쓸까...

여태 그랬던것 처럼 시간날때 마다 아니 마음이 갈때 마다 그냥 무작위로 올릴것 같다. 그게 나한테도 편하다. 아니 나한테만 편하다.

항상 시작할때는 설레인다 . 그런 설레임 때문에 또 시작 하나 보다...
